Bay of Napoli, Italy
Day 1:Guests join SALU in port of Napoli. During an afternoon cruise of approximately two hours to the island of Ischia, guests have the time to become acquainted with the yacht and freshen up after travelling. We arrive off the beach at Punta San Angelo and anchor for the afternoon. This is a great spot for a refreshing dip in the sea! Before sunset we motor around the island to the town of Lacco Ameno and moor stern-to the quay overnight.
Day 2: Following a mid-morning departure, we cruise eastwards to either the island of Procida (one hour) or anchor under the monastery at Ischia Ponte (forty-five minutes). Guests can spend the day swimming or exploring the area, followed by delightful cuisine from our world-class chef. Early evening we haul anchor and proceed into the old port of Ischia. We moor stern-to the quay overnight allowing guests ample time to explore the bustling capital of this little island.
Day 3: If guests are so inclined, morning tours of the island’s thermal spas and historic botanical gardens can easily be organised. Alternatively it’s a mid-morning departure from Ischia to Sorrento (ninety minutes), where SALU anchors during the day. A guest trip ashore to visit the town on the cliffs above is a must because of the great shopping, street markets and best views of the entire bay of Napoli. We depart in the afternoon to the island of Capri where SALU moors stern-to for the night in Marina Grande.
Day 4: We remain moored stern-to in the morning so guests can quench their shopping thirst in the many boutiques lining the streets of the town above the port. In the afternoon SALU heads out of port to anchor off Marina Piccolo on the south side of Capri. An early evening journey of ninety minutes takes us to Positano, where we drop anchor just beneath the famous Hotel San Pietro. The hotel’s Michelin starred restaurant provides stunning views over the sea and is an ideal opportunity to dine out and experience the best of the Amalfi Coast. SALU remains at anchor overnight.
Day 5:We spend the morning at anchor allowing guests to travel ashore by tender to visit Positano, after which a ninety-minute afternoon cruise along this world famous coastline provides a stunning view of the mountains rising out of the sea and brings us to Amalfi. This town, after which the entire stretch of coast is named, is well worth a visit even if just to say one has been there! SALU either anchors in the bay or moors stern-to in the port overnight.
Day 6: A mid morning departure from Amalfi takes us to Marina Piccola on the southern side of Capri.
