Nicola Bowden

Nicola Bowden Stewardess

Born in Cork, Ireland, Nicola left school and enrolled in a hotel management programme through the four star Fitzpatrick Silver Springs Hotel.  During her four years training, Nicola was taught all aspects of running a successful hotel from housekeeping and maintenance to kitchen and reservations.

From there she worked for two years in the popular coastal town of Kinsale as conference & banqueting manager for the four star Actons Hotel. Nicola then left Ireland for Scotland where she lived and worked for eight years, including two at the five star Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh where she was employed as assistant front of house manager.

The lure of sunnier climes and great tales from friends working in the yachting industry proved to be the catalyst for Nicola’s move to Antibes, France where she joined the 45m Feadship yacht, Harle.  Although initially employed solely for the yacht’s ten day Atlantic crossing from St Thomas to Cannes, Nicola was kept on for a full two months, assisting the interior department to prepare for the upcoming season until, fortunately for SALU, they had no more work for her and were forced to let her go.

The SALU team welcomed Nicola onboard in June 2011 and she has since proven herself to be a dedicated, experienced hospitality professional.
